Filipina Caregivers in Israel

There are thousands of Filipino(a) caregivers in Israel.  They are all over Israel and are also caught in the conflict that is ongoing.  They need our support but more importantly, our prayers for their safety and well-being.  Let me share to you an advocate’s letter to us.

Dear Henry and all,

Please see the first edition of METAPELET, which aired yesterday:

I hope you can circulate within your organization and your members will Like it.

This first edition of METAPELET could encourage members to donate funds, which will allow us to launch the project in line with my letter to you from last week.

We are encouraged by the first donation from the US/Philippines community.  It’s Giving Month this November, and the situation of Filipna and Filipino caregivers in this war time is not getting better.

Thank you and God Bless,

Dr. Inon Schenker

Dr Schenker is introduced to us by our own Dr. Francis Sy: “ Dr. Inon Schenker, a Public Health professional from Jerusalem, Israel, is requesting  our support for his project which will help 28,000 Filipina caregivers who are now taking care of the elderly persons in Israel.

Please see his letter above which describes his organization’s plan to build resilience and empower Filipina caregivers (Metapelet in Hebrew) in Israel”

May I share Dr Schenker’s letter to UPMASA.  Dr Francis Sy requested UPMASA to create a short-term donation button via our website.  Please visit now.

Respectfully,

Henry Echiverri, MD

President, UPMASA
